Keith Eckford hands over the reins to Peter Holden

Following CPS’ successful first year as an independent business, Keith Eckford has decided to step down as Chief Executive with immediate effect, in order to take some time away from the business to attend to personal family matters. Keith has held several roles in De La Rue since 2012 including two years as Operations Director based in Dallas. In 2016 he returned to the UK to lead the separation of CPS from De La Rue, successfully securing investment from Privet Capital and leading the business for the twelve months since.

Keith is succeeded by Peter Holden, a highly experienced business leader who has been working closely with the CPS Senior Leadership Team on the business strategy since the acquisition. Peter is a former military officer, and has also over 20 years’ experience in the service industry, during which time he ran a large division with over 7000 staff. He has been Strategy Director for a FTSE 100 business and has worked with Privet Capital across their portfolio, including a period as MD of another manufacturing business.

Peter says, “I am delighted to step into the role of Chief Executive at this exciting point in CPS’ development as an independent business. We have a challenging and exciting year ahead as we build to extend our market influence and accelerate our own internal transformation. Our investors in Privet Capital remain highly supportive of our strategic plan, and having recently met key customers at The Currency Conference in Kuala Lumpur, it is clear that they hold CPS in high regard as a supplier-partner, welcoming our independent positioning in the marketplace.”
